Bern (and home office) \| 80-100% The contribution you can make <br /> • Leading a directorate comprising around 300 employees from a strategic, organizational, and personnel perspective • Assuming responsibility for the strategic orientation of migration and integration policy throughout the entire migration process • Leading legislative projects in the areas of foreigners, citizenship, and integration, and assuming responsibility for Federal Council and Parliament affairs • Negotiating and implementing bilateral and multilateral agreements in the migration sector, particularly in the context of the free movement of persons • Coordinating and developing cooperation with the Cantons, other federal administration services, and national and international partners • Advising management on fundamental migration policy issues and representing the directorate externally <br /> What sets you apart <br /> • University degree, supplemented by proven managerial experience in similar functions. • Several years of experience in managing complex organizational units, strategic management, and leading transformation processes. • In-depth knowledge of migration and integration policy, as well as proven experience in legislative and administrative processes. • Negotiation experience in national and international contexts and excellent understanding of political dynamics and processes. • Inclusive mindset, strong social skills, assertiveness, and clear and persuasive communication. • Excellent active command of two official languages, good knowledge of the third official language, and excellent knowledge of English <br /> In brief You make a decisive contribution to Swiss migration and integration policy -- from entry into the country, through residence and access to the labor market, to naturalization. In this key role, you assume overall strategic responsibility for policy related to the foreign population in Switzerland, represent Switzerland at national and international level, and influence the further development of a central policy area.
