You shape the future of our OpenStack platform. As an experienced Linux Engineer, you take on a central role in the design, operation, and further development of our infrastructure and actively participate in the expansion of the environment. In doing so, you will have the opportunity to specifically develop your existing Linux know-how towards Cloud and OpenStack technologies. To strengthen our team at the Zürich Flughafen location, we are looking for a committed and competent personality as a Senior Linux Engineer (OpenStack area) starting immediately or by arrangement. Your role ## • Responsibility for the operation, further development, and automation of our cloud platforms • Participation in the design, construction, and optimization of our OpenStack environment • Planning and implementation of infrastructure and automation solutions with modern tools such as Ansible, OpenTofu, or Terraform • Ensuring stable and efficient operation as well as continuous optimization of performance, availability, and security • Analysis and resolution of complex disturbances in 2nd and 3rd level support • Close cooperation with infrastructure, network, and storage teams • Participation in architecture and technology decisions as well as active shaping of our future cloud platform • Step-by-step assumption of responsibility in the OpenStack environment and further development towards becoming an OpenStack specialist Your profile ## • Completed studies in computer science or a comparable training/further education • Several years of experience as a Linux System Engineer, Linux Platform Engineer, or Linux Administrator in demanding enterprise environments • Experience with automation and configuration management tools • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, virtualization, container technologies, and Infrastructure as Code • Understanding of networks, storage technologies, and highly available infrastructures • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working • Very good German skills at C1 level as well as good English skills • Willingness to perform on-call duty Your benefits ## • Up to 60 % home office possible with a 100 % workload • Vacation purchase (2 weeks per year) • 41h week with flexible working hours with a full-time workload • Min. 25 days vacation per year • Support for further education 100 % financially or in terms of time • Free SBB Half-Fare travelcard for all employees We maintain an open 'Du-Kultur' (informal culture).
