The Professorship for Forest Resource Management FORM at ETH Zürich is seeking a scientific assistant for teaching in the field of forest and landscape in the Environmental Natural Sciences study program. The position combines technical depth with a lot of creative freedom, direct contact with students and a varied working day between teaching, organization, supervision and teamwork. About us The FORM group is a dynamic, interdisciplinary research team at ETH Zürich. We deal with the question of how forests can be sustainably managed, understood and protected today and in the future. To this end, we develop new approaches to inventorying forest resources, work with modern data and modeling methods and deal with decisions under uncertainty and risk. In teaching, we are strongly committed to the Department of Environmental Systems Science D-USYS. We offer lectures, practical courses, field courses and excursions on forest resource management, forest ecology, landscape management and applied decision support. Our teaching is practice-oriented, interactive and often where the forest is best understood: outside. The job starts as soon as possible by agreement. This position is limited to a maximum of 6 years.
