La Société Suisse des Entrepreneurs SSE has existed since 1897. It is the national professional, economic, and employer organization for companies in building and civil engineering as well as related branches of the main construction sector. In collaboration with its sections, associations, and professional groups, the SSE defends the inter-company interests of its members towards the state, the economy, and the public. It is particularly engaged in the fields of employer policy, economic policy, and vocational training policy.

As part of a succession, we are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, and convincing leadership personality to hold the position of

Head of Business Management (member of the management board)

As a member of the management board, you contribute fully to the strategic and economic development of the SSE and assume co-responsibility in the management and development of the entire organization. Leading a team of approximately fifteen employees, you head the Business Management area and assume responsibility for its human, organizational, and economic development. You consistently evolve its products and services in accordance with the needs of member companies and the challenges of the industry, while contributing to the development of the resulting revenue.

Independent of any particular company interest, you convincingly represent the common interests of the members to sections, associations, authorities, the political world, social partners, clients, and planners. You bring together divergent interests, develop viable solutions, and position the SSE as a strong and recognized voice of the industry. Finally, you shape and advance the major evolutions of the sector, particularly in the field of norms and standards, public procurement, as well as digitalization and the transformation of construction processes.

To succeed in this demanding function, you justify

a solid operational experience within a company of the main construction sector ##

and several years of management at a level of management board, head of area, or a comparable level. You master the value chain of the main construction sector, from calculation and acquisition to project realization. You have higher education in the field of construction, ideally supplemented by training in business management or management. Combining strategic vision and entrepreneurial spirit, you possess a strong sense of negotiation and translate orientations into concrete results. Your communication skills allow you to move with ease in the interaction between companies, associations, the political world, and other stakeholders. You understand political and associative mechanisms and know how to act effectively in complex structures.

Perfectly comfortable in French, you have very good knowledge of German and know the economic and cultural realities of French-speaking Switzerland as well as German-speaking Switzerland. You know how to bring their sensitivities closer together. Italian is an asset. You share your activity between Zurich and Lausanne, with a substantial and regular presence at both sites.
