To strengthen our financial accounting team, we are looking for, by arrangement, a

Financial Accountant

The Merian Iselin Klinik is a state-of-the-art private clinic with a public service mandate in Basel. Our focuses are in the specialist areas of orthopedics, surgery, and urology. With us, you will find meaningful work in a family-like environment where people are at the center.

Your main tasks

• Maintaining the general ledger of the parent and subsidiary companies, including performing IC reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER, including financial reports, key figures, and various reports, group MIS and subsidiaries
• Maintaining fixed asset accounting according to REKOLE and Swiss GAAP FER
• Preparing the quarterly VAT return, including the annual reconciliation
• Auditing investment and project budgets as well as assisting with the overall budget
• Participation in the implementation and auditing of the internal control system (IKS)
• Administrative support as well as participation in projects
• Deputizing/supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable management (approx. 30%)

Your profile

• Completed commercial training with further training in finance and accounting or a business administration degree (Specialist in Finance and Accounting/Expert in Accounting and Controlling, certified public auditor or equivalent)
• Several years of professional experience in the field of finance and accounting, preferably in healthcare
• Very good user knowledge of common MS Office programs (especially Excel)
• You convince through an independent, committed, and precise way of working, quick comprehension, resilience even in hectic times, and are also a team player
• Structured way of working and networked thinking
• Open, communicative, appreciates contact with different stakeholders
