Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer (Kältetechnik)

As Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer (100%) in Zürich with nationwide deployments, you are the decisive technical instance for our fleet of connected refrigerators and coffee machines. You bring in your technical signature, establish clean root cause analyses and develop our 12-member technician team professionally to the next level. Lead complex fault diagnoses at component level on our refrigeration units and coffee machines as an escalation stage. Decide through well-founded triage and deep understanding of refrigeration cycles precisely between device malfunction, configuration error or telemetry problem. Take over the technical documentation (risk assessment, circuit diagrams, conformity according to NEV/EMV) for our own CAREL integration and the POS system. Check new and repaired units continuously for electrical safety and ensure the highest compliance throughout the fleet. Create structured SOPs and establish a sustainable root cause and postmortem process for targeted reduction of recall costs. Coach our 12-member technician team and close competence gaps through targeted mentoring and a dynamic skills matrix. Organize manufacturer training (e.g. Eversys) and ensure visible, continuous further training progress. Recognized electronic or automation training (e.g. Elektroniker:in EFZ or Automatiker:in EFZ) combined with solid knowledge in refrigeration technology diagnosis (pressures, compressor behavior, typical fault patterns). Several years of professional experience in fault diagnosis of electromechanical and electronic systems at component level. Proven practice in writing SOPs and structured root cause analysis. Good understanding of electrical product safety (NEV/Low Voltage Directive, EMV basics) or high willingness to acquire this knowledge with the support of our external safety consultant. Self-employed, responsible personality with excellent communication skills at all team levels Great passion for both practical, hands-on work at the workbench and precise writing of technical standards.
