The Academic Office department is responsible for promoting an environment of academic excellence and integrity within the EHL Group. Its mission includes supervising academic governance, ensuring compliance and accreditation, managing faculty affairs and development, supporting intellectual leadership and research strategy, as well as maintaining institutional relations with academic authorities. Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs

The mission of the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs is to support the Chief Academic Officer in the strategic supervision and quality assurance of EHL HBS faculty affairs, while facilitating faculty support and development within the EHL Group. The role is responsible for strategic development and quality assurance processes related to the recruitment, motivation, and professional growth of faculty members. In collaboration with other associate deans, it plays a key role in improving faculty performance, engagement, and well-being. The position leads initiatives that strengthen institutional values and drive EHL's strategy, mission, and vision.

What will you do?

• Develop and implement strategies to foster excellence and innovation in teaching and learning across the EHL Group.
• Lead the Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning, offering centralized and customized faculty development programs in pedagogy, EdTech, and research.
• Conduct pedagogical and EdTech foresight, introducing innovative teaching practices and tools to inspire faculty and improve learning.
• Organize faculty-focused events and collaborations with external experts to promote networking and pedagogical excellence.
• Involve internal and external stakeholders to strengthen EHL's reputation nationally and internationally in teaching and learning.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making for faculty affairs, ensuring alignment and synergies between departments and educational tools.
• Promote EHL values, inclusivity, diversity, and continuous improvement, by encouraging pedagogical innovation and adaptive teaching methods.
• Highlight faculty achievements and results via communication channels to increase institutional visibility and impact.

Who are you?

• You hold a doctorate or an equivalent degree and have the rank of associate professor or professor in management and/or hospitality.
• You have 10 years of experience in an academic environment, including 5 years in a similar position.
• You are an experienced leader with strong skills in team building and people management.
• You have expertise in faculty affairs, development, and policy formulation in higher education.
• You have experience in strategic planning, decision-making, and implementing teaching and learning initiatives.
• You are proficient in supervising recruitment, performance evaluations, mentoring, and faculty budgetary processes.
• You possess strong communication, negotiation, analysis, and problem-solving skills, with great adaptability and time management across multiple projects.
• You have in-depth knowledge of the Swiss and international higher education landscapes and policies.
• You are fluent in English and French (C1).
