In this exciting role, you will devote yourself in depth to financial market law and make targeted use of your analytical and investigative skills. You will conduct investigations into activities that may not possess the required authorizations under financial market law, focusing in particular on innovative business models in the fields of fintech and blockchain as well as investor fraud models. ###

Main tasks

• Conducting investigations against companies likely to contravene authorization obligations under financial market law
• Legal assessment of the observed activities of the investigated companies with regard to financial market law
• Development of measures to protect investors and enforce authorization obligations under financial market law
• Presentation of investigations and analyses conducted before the decision-making bodies of FINMA
• Participation in the consolidation and development of enforcement practice

Profile

• Master in law obtained from a Swiss university
• Bar admission, LL.M. or doctorate
• Relevant professional experience of several years, particularly in a large law firm, a financial institution or an authority
• Interest in fintech themes as well as in technology-based business models
• Knowledge of conflict of laws issues or previous investigation experience is an asset
• Excellent written and oral expression
• Very good knowledge of German (C2) and English (C1), knowledge of French or Italian (B1) appreciated
