In this mandate, you will take over the conception and implementation of a holistic monitoring and alerting approach for central infrastructure components - from network and firewall to server and storage systems. In addition to the technical implementation, the focus is particularly on building a robust operations and escalation model for 7x24 operation. Tasks: • Development of a holistic monitoring and alerting concept for the data center infrastructure • Conception and implementation of: Event Management, Availability Management, Capacity Management • Implementation and configuration of the monitoring solution based on Zabbix • Evaluation of whether additional tools or extensions are useful or necessary within the concept • Definition of thresholds, alerting logics, and escalation processes • Setup of a first-level support monitoring for 7x24 operation • Documentation of architecture, processes, and operating models • Handover to operations including know-how transfer to the operations team Experiences: • Several years of experience in building and operating monitoring and alerting solutions in a data center environment • In-depth knowledge of Zabbix (design, dashboards, templates, trigger, alerting) • Experience in monitoring: network, firewall, server & storage • Good knowledge of ITSM processes, especially with Event Management, Availability Management & Capacity Management • Experience in building 7x24 operation and escalation models • Analytical and conceptual strength combined with a pronounced hands-on mentality • Very good German language skills in word and writing • English language skills are an advantage Reference number: 924814DO Role: Monitoring & Alerting Engineer (m/w/d) Location: Bern and region Workload: 60% (100% onsite) Start: ASAP End: If this position has sparked your interest, please send us your complete dossier via the link in this advertisement.
