Operations and control officer 3*8 - Waste recovery

Within the Direction Energie et Ecologie Industrielle, you will join the Exploitation unit of the Usine des Cheneviers, responsible for technical and operational exploitation 24h/24 and 365 days per year. This unit guarantees the safe and efficient incineration of household and similar waste, while respecting strict environmental standards. It ensures the control of grate furnaces, combustion regulation, energy production (electricity and district heating) as well as the complete treatment of flue gases to minimize environmental impact. You will join a team of 6 collaborators and contribute to the optimal recovery of waste into energy and resources.

As part of your function, you will notably be in charge of :

• Operating the incineration, waste energy recovery, and flue gas and water treatment installations;
• Controlling and ensuring the proper functioning of the installations during regular rounds;
• Optimizing the energy production of the usine des Cheneviers;
• Ensuring the regulatory compliance of environmental discharges;
• Participating in first-level troubleshooting of waste treatment and energy production installations.

Your personality and your skills

You know how to collaborate effectively within a technical team, listen, and share information. You are capable of working autonomously and demonstrate a good level of attention to detail. Dynamic, you learn quickly, anticipate, and analyze situations, both in supervision and in the field.

You possess in-depth knowledge of thermal and industrial equipment used for the thermal recovery of household waste.

You hold a CFC in a technical or industrial branch, preferably in mechanics, electromechanics, or heating installation, or an equivalent training, with at least 2 years of professional experience. The course for boiler room personnel or a federal diploma of thermist constitutes an asset.

This position involves a continuous schedule in 3x8 shifts (night work, weekends, and public holidays), frequent replacements, as well as an environment exposed to various risks (dust, noise, temperature variations, etc.).
