Senior Platform Engineer Kubernetes (AWS & Azure) # (m/f/d) freelance/in temporary permanent employment for a project Bern Start date: 09/26 Reference number: 890521/1 Project information ### • No sub-contracting possible, exclusively personnel leasing via Hays (Switzerland) Tasks ### • Engineering, further development and operation of company-wide Kubernetes platforms on AWS (EKS) and Azure (AKS) • Support of application teams in the provisioning and operation of their applications on the Kubernetes platform • Conception, implementation and maintenance of platform add-ons as well as Kubernetes services • Implementation of new platform requirements and feature requests in close cooperation with internal customers • Automation of infrastructure and deployment processes according to the GitOps principle • Ensuring stable, scalable and performant platform operation • Optimization of cloud resources and costs on AWS and Azure platforms • Implementation of security hardening measures as well as support with compliance and audit requirements • Integration and operation of observability and monitoring solutions to ensure platform availability • Participation in the continuous further development of the platform architecture, standards and best practices Profile ### • Practical experience in the engineering and operation of Kubernetes platforms at an enterprise level • Sound knowledge of Kubernetes, especially EKS and/or AKS • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, preferably with Terraform • Good knowledge of GitOps methods as well as experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions • Experience with Helm, Kustomize and modern deployment strategies • Knowledge of at least one programming language, ideally Go (Golang) • Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as Argo CD, Kyverno, Karpenter, Cilium or comparable solutions • Knowledge in the area of monitoring and observability, for example with Grafana • Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working with high service orientation • Very good English skills, German skills an advantage as well as willingness to participate in on-call duty Benefits ### • Responsible and varied activity in a technically exciting environment • Access to most modern technologies and tools • Remote possibility
