Head of IT Infrastructure (80-100%) The IT of a leading retail company is in an exciting transformation and development phase. To strengthen the IT leadership team, we are exclusively looking for an experienced leader as Head of IT Infrastructure. In this key role, you are responsible for a central infrastructure organization of high strategic importance and actively shape its further development. You combine operational responsibility with strategic management, lead a team of System Engineers as well as external specialists, and ensure the stable operation as well as the continuous further development of the platform and infrastructure services. Together with your team, you shape the future direction of the IT infrastructure and create the foundation for a modern, high-performance, and future-oriented IT landscape. Your challenge People Management Technical and disciplinary leadership of a team of 10 employees Further development of team structures, roles, and responsibilities Promotion of a performance-, service-, and team-oriented culture Coaching, development, and empowerment of employees Change Management & Transformation Leading and accompanying organizational and cultural change processes Promotion of transparency, individual responsibility, and cooperation within the team Further development of the platform organization towards a modern, efficient, and future-proof unit Overall Responsibility for Operations & Infrastructure Overall responsibility for the stable, secure, and economical operation of the IT infrastructure Responsibility for the planning, prioritization, and implementation of projects Ensuring availability, performance, security, and service quality Further development of IT infrastructures Hub Function & Partner Management Central hub function within IT Close cooperation with internal stakeholders and management as well as coordination of external service providers and technology partners Responsibility for SLA, escalation, and supplier management Your qualities and talents Completed studies in (Business) Informatics (FH or University) At least 5 years of leadership experience (span of control: approx. 10 employees) in a comparable role in an IT infrastructure or IT operations environment 5-10 years of experience in the operation as well as in the further development of complex IT infrastructures Broad understanding of modern platform and infrastructure architectures (Microsoft, Linux, Network, Datacenter, Virtualization, and Cloud) Experience in leading change and transformation processes Sound knowledge of IT service management processes as well as operating and governance models (e.g., ITIL, Kanban) High implementation strength, natural authority, as well as enjoyment in sustainably developing people, teams, and organizations Very good German skills in speaking and writing as well as good English skills As Head of IT Infrastructure, you take on a hub function within the IT organization.
