Building AI/Process Automation Development Platform: From experiment to standard: You transform innovative PoCs into stable, scalable applications. You ensure that our development platform remains technologically leading and offers real added value for the business. Tactical further development: You translate the company strategy into concrete roadmaps. In close consultation with stakeholders, you drive technical and organizational innovations forward and actively shape the future of our service landscape. Resource and capacity planning: You keep an overview: from budget responsibility to cost control and capacity planning. You are responsible for the availability of all AI services via clear SLAs. Your profile Experience: Several years of experience in leading technical teams in the data/AI environment. In-depth knowledge of AI/ML systems, process automation (RPA), and cloud architecture. Experienced in stakeholder management and in transforming PoCs into scalable services. Personality: Strong leadership personality with high motivation and structure. You are communicative, solution-oriented, and conflict-capable. You know how to shape teams, deliver results, and take strategic and operational responsibility. Education: Higher education degree (uni/FH) in (business) computer science. Supplemented by long-standing practice in data and AI as well as relevant further training. You combine deep technical understanding with a business management focus. Language: Stylistically confident communication with various customer groups. You create precise concepts and present them confidently. Very good German language skills in word and writing are mandatory; good English language skills are an advantage. Insight into our work IT BS is the internal IT service provider of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and belongs to the Finance Department. The department provides the collaboration and communication infrastructure for mobile and stationary IT workplaces and the associated support. Additionally, IT BS also continuously develops various offers for the public in the area of eGovernment and digitalization. Functional IT is central to the efficient operation of the cantonal administration. The Cross-Sectional Applications department is driving digitalization in the Canton of Basel-Stadt forward. Our modular ecosystem includes, among other things, eGovernment, business management, the bs.ch website, UX/design system, chatbots, as well as low-code, development, AI, and data platforms.
