Located in the regions of Genève and Annecy, the company works with public and private clients, local authorities, engineering offices and construction companies. Our missions concern notably foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, excavations, stability of slopes and rock masses, groundwater, natural risks, instrumentation and monitoring of geotechnical works. As part of the development of our activity in Switzerland, we are looking for a senior geotechnical engineer capable of managing projects with a high level of autonomy. Job description Reporting directly to management, you will ensure the technical and operational management of geotechnical projects, from the analysis of the client's needs to the monitoring of works. You will work on various projects in Suisse romande and progressively participate in the development and structuring of the activity of Géocimes Suisse. Your main missions Analyze client requests and define the scope of services; carry out field visits and establish the first geological and geotechnical hypotheses; define and organize recognition campaigns: boreholes, tests, sampling and instrumentation; supervise drilling companies, laboratories and specialized stakeholders; interpret the results of recognition and geotechnical tests; establish geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical models; define calculation parameters and dimensioning hypotheses; draft reports, technical notes, expertise and recommendations; perform and supervise geotechnical calculations; design and dimension foundations, retaining structures, excavation shoring, drainage works, embankments and earthworks; study the stability of slopes, embankments and rock masses; prepare technical documents for tender dossiers; analyze company offers and participate in coordination meetings; ensure execution monitoring and site inspections; implement site tests and controls; adapt recommendations to the conditions actually encountered on the ground; ensure monitoring of deadlines, hours, budgets and business profitability; prepare technical and financial offers; maintain relations with clients, representatives, administrations and companies; contribute to the commercial development of the activity; participate in the improvement of methods, document templates and internal tools. The position involves a significant part of field work, technical writing, calculation and client relations. Profile sought Engineering degree in civil engineering with a specialization in geotechnics, geological engineering degree or equivalent training; EPF, HES training or foreign diploma recognized as equivalent; at least 5 years of professional experience in geotechnics; experience in autonomous project management, preferably within an engineering office; mastery of soil mechanics and engineering geology principles; experience in the dimensioning of foundations, retaining structures, excavations, earthworks and geotechnical works; ability to interpret recognition campaigns and in situ tests; good knowledge of SIA standards and Eurocodes; Mastery of geotechnical calculation software such as TALREN, K-REA, LARIX is indispensable. excellent mastery of French, both oral and written; good writing skills and ability to produce clear and reasoned technical documents; driving license indispensable; valid work authorization in Switzerland. Also appreciated: mastery of a GIS software, notably QGIS or ArcGIS; knowledge in hydrogeology and rock mechanics; experience in geotechnical instrumentation: piezometers, inclinometers and measurement monitoring; knowledge of CFF or OFROU procedures and requirements; experience in public markets and tenders; skills in soil and groundwater pollution; good knowledge of spoken and written German.
