Teaching assignment for Latin 25 - 40%

The Kantonsschule Uetikon am See (KUE) is a young school in the development phase. It runs a lower secondary gymnasium level and five of the Zurich maturity profiles (classical languages, mathematical-scientific, modern languages, economic-legal, and philosophical-pedagogical-psychological). The number of students is around 800, and that of teachers and administrative members is approximately 120. The location and character of the school are unique: the modern premises at the provisional location in the middle of the community enable future-oriented and innovative forms of teaching and fuel the creation of the «KUE-Spirit». The team is young and agile; we like to try new things. In six years, the KUE will move into its new premises on the site of the former Chemical Factory directly on Lake Zurich.

Your tasks

At the beginning of the autumn semester 2027/28, we are looking for a lecturer for the subject of Latin in the amount of 6 – 9 lessons.

Your profile

We are looking for committed teachers with a completed university Master's degree in the corresponding subject as well as a teaching diploma for maturity schools in progress or an equivalent diploma for teaching at gymnasial maturity schools according to MAR. Ideally, you have already been able to gain initial teaching experience. Joy in dealing with young people and pedagogical skill characterize you.

Our offer

In accordance with the Zurich Middle and Vocational School Teacher Ordinance, this is a fixed-term employment. Long-term development of this position into a permanent employment is possible.
