In this versatile engineering role, you will take responsibility for technical challenges from the initial idea to the successful serial solution. We are not looking for a pure CAD designer, but a practical development engineer with a strong understanding of vehicles. You are responsible for assemblies and subsystems, work directly on prototypes and vehicles, and develop sustainable solutions for technical challenges from development, production, and the field. You think in systems instead of individual parts and understand the connections between design, testing, quality, and serial operation. With your hands-on mentality, your technical depth, and your implementation strength, you drive topics forward independently and ensure that good concepts become successful products.

Your tasks

• Development and support of mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems of our premium E-Bikes throughout the entire product life cycle
• Driving technical topics from the concept phase through prototypes and validations to serial release
• Taking responsibility for defined assemblies as well as coordinating technical cooperation with suppliers and development partners
• Planning, accompanying, and analyzing tests, trials, and technical validations on the vehicle
• Assembly of prototypes, optimization of existing solutions, and practical work directly on the product
• Analysis of technical challenges from development, production, quality, and field operation, as well as implementation of sustainable improvement measures
• Close cooperation with purchasing, production, quality, service, and product management
• Active contribution to the buildup and further development of engineering know-how at myStromer

Your profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering (FH, ETH, TU) or comparable technical training with corresponding professional experience
• Several years of experience in the development of mechanical, mechatronic, or vehicle-related products, ideally in the bicycle, E-Bike, motorcycle, automotive, or comparable mobility industries
• Very good knowledge of CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks
• Experience in product development, testing, validation, and technical problem-solving
• High level of initiative and willingness to take responsibility
• Structured, analytical, and pragmatic way of working
• Strong hands-on mentality and enjoyment of practical development work as well as working with prototypes and vehicles
• Very good German and English skills
