General Manager of Operations – Industry

On behalf of an international industrial group, we are looking for a General Manager of Operations to take responsibility for an important industrial site located in the Swiss Jura.

The site has nearly 500 employees and operates in a technical and international industrial environment, specialized in the design and manufacture of complex industrial solutions and equipment.

General Manager of Operations – Industry (M/F/X)

Mission:

• Lead industrial operations and guarantee deadline, quality, and cost objectives
• Sustainably improve industrial performance and OTD (On Time Delivery)
• Supervise production, industrialization, purchasing, quality, supply chain, planning, and logistics
• Optimize processes in an environment of small series, specific products, and complex manufacturing
• Manage budgets, investments, costs, stocks, and Make-or-Buy decisions
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement, digitalization, and automation
• Guarantee HSE and regulatory requirements
• Define and implement the industrial strategy in collaboration with the group
• Unify and develop teams around a culture of performance and responsibility
• Collaborate with commercial functions and international interlocutors

Profile:

• 10 years or more of experience in industrial management / operations functions
• Proven experience in a technical and international industrial environment
• Production experience in small series, specific products, or Engineer-to-Order
• Ability to lead an industrial organization of several hundred employees
• Strong culture of performance, costs, quality, and respect for deadlines
• Higher technical education, ideally in mechanics or engineering
• Fluent French and English; German is an asset
• Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and results-oriented leadership
