When trains are reliably on the move, precise mechanical work is behind it. In this role, you ensure that important railway components and mechanical systems of rail vehicles are professionally overhauled, repaired, tested, and made ready for use again. You work on brake valves, couplings, sliding steps, and brake units - and you see immediately what you achieve with your work. Through your work, you make a direct contribution to the safety, reliability, and availability of rail vehicles. What awaits you:

• You repair, overhaul, and maintain mechanical and pneumatic railway components such as control and driver brake valves, couplings and E-couplings, buffers and drawgear, sliding steps, and brake units
• You analyze and diagnose faults in mechanical, pneumatic, and mechatronic components and independently carry out maintenance, overhaul, and repair work on components of rail vehicles
• After the overhaul or repair of the components, you test their function and quality on modern test benches
• You ensure functional controls, quality inspections according to specifications, and complete documentation
• Through close teamwork, technical skill, and proactive thinking, you contribute to smooth processes and improved workflows

What you bring with you:

• Vocational training with EFZ in the mechanical or mechatronic field, e.g., as Polymechaniker:in, Automobil-Mechatroniker:in, Landmaschinen- oder Baumaschinenmechaniker:in
• Experience in maintenance, servicing, repair, overhaul, mechanics, or pneumatics will facilitate your entry
• Knowledge of rail vehicles or railway technology is welcome, but not a prerequisite.
• You enjoy practical work and have good technical understanding as well as manual dexterity
• You proceed in a structured manner during troubleshooting and work precisely, reliably, and with quality awareness; teamwork, a sense of duty, and a positive work attitude characterize you
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, good German skills for cooperation in the team, SAP knowledge, as well as the ability to read and understand technical documentation are an advantage
