Project Controller 100%

You are responsible for group-wide project controlling and support our project and site managers in the economic management of their projects. In doing so, you report to the Head of Finance and Controlling and work closely with the operational managers.

Your place of work is Gerlafingen or Rümlang – with regular presence at our locations in German- and French-speaking Switzerland as well as on construction sites if required.

Your tasks are varied, analytical, and future-oriented:

• Accompanying our projects from order acceptance to completion: checking calculation bases, budgets, and correct project structure in the ERP, as well as analyzing costs, hours, performance levels, productivity, and margins
• Regular project meetings with project and site managers as well as plausibility checks of completion degree, remaining costs, and result forecasts, taking into account open obligations and risks
• Early identification and analysis of margin losses, cost overruns, and billing risks, as well as developing, tracking, and, if necessary, escalating suitable measures
• Monitoring performance and hour recording, supplements, and unbilled services, as well as supporting readiness for billing and billing obstacles
• Preparation of project evaluations and reports for monthly and annual financial statements, post-calculation of completed projects, as well as further development of key figures, reports, and ERP-supported processes, including user training

What you bring with you:

• Commercial or technical basic training with further training in controlling, finance and accounting, or business administration; alternatively a corresponding degree with practical relevance
• Several years of experience in project controlling or a comparable function in the project business; experience in construction or related trades is a great advantage
• Confident handling of Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools, as well as experience with larger datasets and improvement of data quality and reports
• Sound understanding of pre- and post-calculation, cost accounting, performance levels, remaining cost forecasts, and project margins, as well as the commercial processes from order opening to final settlement
• Analytical, structured, and careful way of working, as well as the ability to trace deviations to their causes and derive concrete recommendations for action from them
• Communicative and assertive personality that objectively questions assumptions and works constructively with project managers and executives
• Very good German and good French skills for collaboration with both linguistic regions, as well as willingness for regular travel within Switzerland
