Head of Test Flight Operations

This is your contribution • Technical and organizational leadership of the Test Flight Operations team for flight tests with civilian and primarily non-approved military aircraft systems (fighter jets, helicopters, turboprop and drones) • Lead the Test Flight Operations team, including ensuring technical qualification and licensing in terms of personnel and expertise, as well as acting as the contact person for coordination with the Air Force • Collaborate in Test Flight Operations (e.g., during preparation and operation, as a loadmaster, during cargo flights, in the creation of instructions, processes and content for manuals, etc.) • Ensure the readiness of relevant equipment and vehicles for the test aircraft, installations, facilities and systems as well as the aircraft hangars at Zentrum Luftfahrtsysteme Emmen • Implement specifications (EASA Part 145 / Part 66) for our civilian aircraft as well as the specifications of the Air Force for the military aircraft systems • Prepare and accompany audits by military and civilian authorities as well as with industry. Complete and release maintenance documents for the work carried out by the team What makes you unique • Aircraft mechanic EFZ or similar 4-year technical basic training as well as many years of experience in flight operations. Leadership experience and further training in aviation are an advantage • EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (Category B1) is an advantage • Precise, responsible, flexible and team-oriented way of working. Joy and motivation for diverse tasks related to test flight operations as well as for leading a team • Driving license Category B (C/E an advantage) as well as good IT skills (MS Office/SAP) • Before employment, aero-medical fitness must be confirmed by the Fliegerärztliches Institut • You have very good knowledge of the German official language and good English skills.
