Your Tasks:

• Execution of electric field calculations for high voltage components in AC applications up to 550 kV, taking relevant norms and standards into account
• Creation and evaluation of thermal calculations of components and assemblies under practical operating conditions
• Modeling, execution, and evaluation of FEM simulations
• Analysis of existing designs with regard to electrical and thermal load capacity as well as development of optimization proposals
• Documentation of calculation results and derivation of technical recommendations for action
• Verification and validation of calculations as well as establishment of reliable calculation bases and technical documentation
• Close cooperation with development, design, test field, and production

Your Profile:

• Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Experience in electric field calculation and/or thermal design of technical components
• Knowledge in handling FEM simulation software such as COMSOL, ANSYS, Abaqus, or comparable applications
• Understanding of electrical and thermal stresses of technical systems
• Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
• Good English skills in speaking and writing
• German skills at least at level C1
