La Police municipale de Lausanne ensures security throughout the urban territory, prioritizing proximity to the population. With more than 700 employees, the Police Corps performs numerous tasks and is composed of several divisions.

As part of the development of community missions within our citizen relations and prevention teams, and more specifically within the Prévention entity of the Police de Lausanne, we are looking for several motivated people, ready to ensure a community role with the population and shopkeepers, to develop targeted prevention actions and to contribute to strengthening the feeling of security in the Lausanne territory.

Main mission(s)

Ensure a mandate as a contact person for the population and shopkeepers, for visibility, prevention, and problem-solving according to a medium and long-term approach at fixed locations and points of attention.

Ensure the weaving and maintenance of links, remain attentive to needs and expectations, and develop solutions in partnership with the identified actors.

Plan and guarantee specific community actions (mobile police station, meeting cafés, events, partnerships, etc.), promote contacts with the population as well as with female and male shopkeepers, and contribute to strengthening the feeling of security.

Guarantee the reporting of intelligence and prepare, if necessary, the statistics useful for the conduct and evaluation of actions.

Fulfill police missions, guarantee security and public order, support the Unités d'intervention et d'actions de proximité (UIP) in the mandate of visibility, prevention, and problem-solving.

Profile

Federal police officer certificate

Additional training in community policing, desired

Minimum 5 years of professional experience

Experience in mediation and conflict management, desired

Excellent knowledge of the Lausanne urban fabric and public and private institutions in the city center

Excellent knowledge of the partners and stakeholders of the City center

Interpersonal skills

Good adaptation and negotiation skills

Special conditions

Driver's license (cat. B)

Clean criminal record

Regular schedule

Reside in Swiss territory
