Booking, coordinating, following up, controlling - and in between, making sure the plane doesn't take off without your shipment.

For a forwarding company, we are looking for a clerk or a clerk with experience in the field of air freight, preferably in export. You will independently take care of your shipments, have direct contact with customers, airlines, and partners, and accompany the orders from booking to departure. If something gets stuck somewhere, you find a solution - ideally before the customer finds out about it.

• organizing and coordinating air freight shipments in export
• creating and checking export documents
• creating Swiss export customs clearance
• scheduling precursors and coordinating with airlines, handling agents, and subcontractors
• communicating with customers, foreign agents, and IATA partners
• calculating freight rates as well as creating offers
• processing complaints
• monitoring ongoing shipments

Requirements ###

• completed training as a freight forwarding agent or comparable commercial training
• professional experience in air freight export
• knowledge in PASSAR, IATA-DGR
• independent, structured, and reliable way of working

MS-Office - good knowledge

Languages ###

German: m+s very good

Specialities ###

Air freight is very structured - but sometimes not everything goes according to plan. A flight is canceled, a document is missing, or a shipment suddenly has to go out today after all. Then it means: pick up the phone, look for a solution, carry on. If you like working independently, have air freight under control, and also manage when not everything goes according to plan, it could be a good fit.
