Counting nearly 1'200 collaborators, the Department of Acute Medicine (D-MA) includes the Services of Anesthesiology, Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, Intensive Care and Emergency Services. It responds to a quadruple mission through its services that provide their expertise in frequent interaction with the entire Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, thanks to a transversal platform, with the aim of ensuring the best possible care for patients. More info on HUG Job description ## Under the supervision of the physiotherapist responsible for the Department of Acute Medicine, you join a team composed of 19 physiotherapists. Attached to the transversal unit of the DMA, the physiotherapy team ensures care in different units of the department, with an activity extending from critical care to outpatient consultations for patient follow-up after hospitalization. Your ability to adapt and your versatility allow you to ensure, in collaboration with your colleagues, coverage of the activity 24h/24, 7j/7. You perform clinical assessments, develop and apply adapted physiotherapy treatments, and then evaluate the results. You also ensure rigorous documentation of patient files, including interventions performed, clinical information, and entry of services provided. You are part of an interprofessional work approach, in close collaboration with all healthcare professionals, you intervene in complementarity with other professionals according to your field of activity. You contribute to training programs related to your skills and activity, and you may also be called upon to contribute to clinical research programs. You have a proven taste for sharing your knowledge and clinical practice with healthcare staff and physiotherapists in training. Your sense of pedagogy allows you to accompany students in their training course and develop their skills at the heart of care, through the supervision you offer. More broadly, the physiotherapy activity at HUG includes around 180 professionals exercising in 6 sectors. You join a university hospital that has a vocation to train and you can thus develop your technical and transversal skills in various care areas. Profile description ## You hold a Bachelor HES in physiotherapy or a physiotherapy diploma recognized and registered by the Swiss Red Cross as well as a right to practice in the canton of Genève. Ideally, you have a certified specialization in the sector of physiotherapy in critical care. You keep your knowledge up to date through regular scientific readings and you are part of an EBP approach. You also have a good knowledge of the French language, level C1 being required for non-French speakers. Ease with computer tools (Office Suite) is necessary to carry out this mission. Mastery of HUG applications, notably DPI, is a plus. You are able to work autonomously while showing a team spirit. This allows you to evolve with flexibility in a team relying on an excellent sense of communication and a desire to evolve in your practices. You have a sense of responsibility, a great organizational capacity, and a good aptitude for work in a multidisciplinary team. Your good resistance to stress is a real asset.
