Join Schivo Medical, a specialist in the manufacture of high-precision components for medical devices and life sciences. To strengthen our Mecaplast SA center of excellence, specialized in high-precision plastic, metal, and ceramic molding, we are looking for a:

Production Engineer – at 100 % (M/F)

At the heart of production, you will ensure the monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes for two product lines in a cleanroom. In collaboration with quality and operational teams, you will contribute to guaranteeing process performance, product compliance, and adherence to medical sector requirements.

You will evolve in a technical, demanding, and innovative environment, within a human-sized structure, with varied activities and concrete responsibilities.

Your mission:

• Optimize manufacturing processes: cycle time, yield, scrap, downtime, material consumption, workstation organization.
• Analyze production problems: process drifts, recurring breakdowns, quality defects, productivity drops, pace issues.
• Implement improvements: Lean, 5S, SMED, problem-solving, standardization, automation, ergonomic improvement.
• Monitor industrial indicators: OEE, scrap rate, productivity, yield, downtime, machine capacity, production costs.
• Participate in the industrialization of new products: equipment choice, process definition, trials, qualification, ramp-up.
• Define and maintain production standards: machine parameters, work instructions, process sheets, standard times, procedures.
• Work with maintenance to improve equipment availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with quality to guarantee that manufactured products respect customer and regulatory requirements.
• Train and support production teams during new processes or technical changes.
• Analyze industrial capacity and anticipate needs for machines, personnel, schedules, or investments.

Your profile:

• Education: HES or EPF engineering degree, or training deemed equivalent, in a technical field such as mechanics, materials, microtechnology, plastics engineering, or a similar field.
• Professional experience: proven experience in an industrial environment. Experience in the field of plastic injection is an asset.
• Technical skills: good knowledge of manual and semi-automatic assembly processes for systems or sub-assemblies.
• Medical environment: knowledge of standards and norms applicable to the medical sector is an asset.
• Tools and data: proficiency with IT tools and ability to exploit and analyze data (Excel, ERP, etc.).
• Personal qualities: proactive, autonomous, and pragmatic personality, with a strong orientation toward solutions and continuous improvement.
• Teamwork: strong presence on the floor and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Languages: excellent command of French and good knowledge of English.
