The Dienststelle Gesundheit und Sport (DIGE) is the competence center of the Canton of Luzern for Public Health and Sport. Around 80 employees ensure the framework conditions for medical care for the Luzern population, are responsible for permits, and exercise supervision in the healthcare system. Whether health promotion or care, sports promotion, medicinal products, human or dental medicine: the goal is to provide the best possible care and keep the Canton of Luzern fit in all matters related to the areas of health and sport.

At the interface of medicine, Public Health, and health policy, a versatile role with responsibility, interdisciplinary exchange, and exciting projects awaits you. In doing so, you will actively help shape the healthcare of the Canton of Luzern.

Your tasks

• You process requests for cost coverage independently, assess medical issues, and are an important specialist contact person for your team.
• You lead exciting Public Health projects and accompany their implementation, for example in the field of skin cancer prevention.
• Taking into account the principle "ambulant vor stationär" (outpatient before inpatient), you check the obligation to provide benefits and ensure a comprehensible assessment.
• You actively participate in the health policy project "EFAS - einheitliche Finanzierung ambulant vor stationär" (EFAS - uniform financing outpatient before inpatient).
• As support to the Department Manager, you take on further specialist and administrative tasks and thereby gain insight into different topics of healthcare.

Your profile

• You have a Master's in human medicine as well as additional training and bring experience in the healthcare system or in the field of Public Health.
• With your communicative nature, you succeed in actively shaping interdisciplinary cooperation and networking different specialist areas.
• You work independently and precisely according to scientific principles.
• Initiative, goal and result orientation characterize you as well as resilience, flexibility, and team spirit.
• Thanks to your networked thinking, you recognize connections quickly and maintain an overview even with demanding tasks.
