Veterinarian Emergency Medicine Small Animals Schwyz

As a veterinarian in small animal medicine, you will take on a responsible role in emergency and night shifts in a modern veterinary clinic in the Schwyz region. With a workload of 50 to 100 %, you will care for emergency patients, stabilize critically ill animals, and ensure high-quality veterinary care outside of regular consultation hours.

What awaits you in this varied task

• Initial care, stabilization, and monitoring of veterinary emergency patients during the night shift
• Conducting emergency consultations including anamnesis, diagnostics, and initial treatment
• Interpretation of diagnostic examinations such as blood analysis, X-ray, ultrasound, or urine examinations
• Care and monitoring of inpatient patients during the night
• Documentation of treatments as well as maintenance of veterinary patient records
• Close cooperation with the day team, veterinary practice assistants, and interns to ensure optimal patient care

What you bring with you

• Completed studies in veterinary medicine with a Master of Veterinary Medicine MVetMed degree or an equivalent degree recognized in Switzerland
• Ideally professional experience in small animal medicine or in veterinary emergency services
• Independent way of working as well as confident decision-making ability in acute situations
• Good German language skills in speaking and writing
