The Office of Agriculture and Geoinformation is a service of the Department of Economy and Social Affairs. It includes the four departments Agricultural Measures, Structural Improvements, Surveying, and the GIS competence center.

The Agricultural Measures department is responsible for the implementation of federal agricultural policy in the canton of Graubünden. As a member of a young team, you will assume responsibility for demanding tasks at the interface between agriculture, spatial planning, and water protection. You will evaluate construction projects outside the building zone from an agricultural perspective and apply water protection requirements in agricultural holdings.

We are looking for the BAB/Water protection sector in the Agricultural Measures department, starting from 1 February 2027 or by agreement, a BAB and water protection project manager.

Your area of responsibility

• Evaluation of construction applications outside the building zone from an agricultural perspective
• Management of the project to revise farm manure installations
• Autonomous development and implementation of measures for water protection at the structural and operational levels in agriculture
• Participation in the execution of direct payments and the approval of lease contracts
• Collaboration on matters relating to agricultural land law in cooperation with other offices

What we expect from you

• Basic agricultural training with additional specialized training (professional certificate or agricultural technician HF, FH diploma)
• Good knowledge of agricultural practice as well as interest in agricultural, spatial planning, and environmental policy issues
• Initial experience in project management or the desire to develop in this field
• Autonomous, structured, and solution-oriented way of working, as well as personal initiative and organizational skills
• Team spirit, communication skills, and assertiveness
• Good negotiation skills, reliability, and high motivation
• Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
