Central President, voluntary Der Schweizerische Turnverband (STV) – More than gymnastics. «We enable sport, movement and experiences for everyone throughout Switzerland, in order to create community and well-being.» With around 375,000 members and 2,580 clubs, the Schweizerische Turnverband is the largest multi-sport association in Switzerland. For the strategic leadership of our association from 2027, we are looking for you as Central President, voluntary. Your tasks In this central role, you will actively help shape the future of gymnastics in Switzerland. Together with the Central Board, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the STV and set forward-looking impulses for the further development of our association. You will represent the STV convincingly both internally and externally and position it as a strong, relevant voice in the sporting, political and social environment. Your most important tasks include in particular: Strategic leadership and further development of the STV: Together with the Central Board, you set the strategic guidelines, develop them further and monitor their sustainable implementation Leadership of the Central Board: You lead meetings, promote an open, constructive committee culture and ensure a common strategic understanding Political positioning & representation of interests: You position the STV in the national and international sports-political environment, represent the interests of the association and its members towards key stakeholders and specifically develop an effective network in politics, sport and business Representation & communication: You represent the STV at national and international levels and maintain active exchange with member associations, partner organizations and key stakeholders Collaboration with the management: You lead the director and ensure a clear and effective connection between strategic leadership and operational implementation in cooperation with the management Your profile You are an experienced leader with strong strategic thinking, a strong network and bring in particular the following: Several years of leadership experience in business, sport, an association environment or politics Sound knowledge of governance as well as experience in transformation or change processes Political understanding and the ability to represent interests effectively Strong communication skills and a confident appearance at all levels (politics, media, public) Affinity for gymnastics as well as a good understanding of the dynamics of associations and voluntary engagement An integral, connecting personality with high social competence and assertiveness (Very) good German, as well as French or Italian skills and good English skills round off your profile.
