Laboratory/Biobank Employee 30-40% (limited to 1 year with prospect of extension)

The Pediatric Research Center conducts and manages clinical studies in a variety of disciplines. A varied, responsible, and independent activity in a dynamic research environment awaits you with us. To strengthen our motivated and collegial team, we are looking for a dedicated personality for a part-time position (30-40%) with enjoyment of laboratory work, scientific curiosity, and an independent way of working. Career starters are also warmly welcome and will be carefully introduced to their tasks. The position is initially limited to one year, with the possibility of an extension. Start date: immediately or by arrangement

Your tasks

• Independent preparation, execution, and documentation of routine laboratory work such as sample collection and processing for a pediatric biobank
• Participation in the further development and optimization of our newly established biobank
• Support with various laboratory tasks within ongoing research projects, for example: ELISA, Quantitative PCR (qPCR) and other molecular biological and immunological methods
• Careful documentation and quality assurance of the laboratory processes
• Close cooperation with researchers and study coordinators
• Possibility for professional development and taking on additional tasks according to qualification and interests

Your profile

• Completed training as a laboratory technician, biomedical analyst (BMA), medical-technical laboratory assistant (MTLA) or comparable qualification
• Experience in general laboratory organization and in handling biological samples is an advantage
• Ideally experience in a research or university laboratory
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
• Independent, reliable, and careful way of working
• Quick comprehension as well as initiative
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary and collegial cooperation
• Good German and English skills in spoken and written form
