For our client, an established company in the field of psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care in the St. Gallen region, we are looking for an experienced senior medical professional, immediately or by arrangement. Senior Physician Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (m/f/d) 60–100% Tasks In this responsible position, you will take on the professional leadership of an inpatient unit in close cooperation with the nursing ward management. Together, you will ensure the medical and therapeutic care of the patients and work closely with assistant physicians as well as psychologists. The guidance, promotion, and structured further training of the assistant physicians and assistant psychologists assigned to you are as much part of your area of responsibility as regular supervision. Furthermore, you will actively participate in the conceptual further development of the ward and contribute your professional expertise to the joint work with the senior physician team and the nursing management. Requirements You possess a specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy or are close to completing it. A valid professional practice license from the Canton of St. Gallen is a prerequisite; alternatively, you bring the willingness to acquire this before starting the position. You value inpatient work with mentally ill people and maintain an appreciative, recovery-oriented approach within the interdisciplinary team. Independent working, decisiveness, and the willingness to take on responsibility characterize you as much as your communication strength, your team orientation, and your interest in continuous professional development. For professional communication with patients as well as internal and external partners, we require German language skills at C1 level.
