School Social Worker Primary School Horgen 60% # Good for life - that is our motto. The office of the districts Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen of the Office for Youth and Vocational Counseling runs a regional school social work office, which is responsible for the personnel, professional, and administrative management of school social workers on behalf of schools. In order to ensure a low-threshold school social work offer, the positions are located in the individual school municipalities. For the primary school Horgen, we are looking for a school social worker as of 1 January 2027. You advise and accompany young people, parents, and teachers in educational and social matters. In cases of crises and conflicts, you carry out interventions in classes and groups. As far as possible, you also perform prevention and project work. You work together with the school team and with other specialist centers. For this task, we require a completed degree in Social Work at the university of applied sciences level and several years of professional experience in school social work or in the socio-pedagogical field with children. You possess competencies in counseling, prevention, crisis intervention, and project work, as well as an independent and interdisciplinary way of working. We offer you a versatile, interesting, and independent activity with annual working time (compensation of school holiday time through an increased workload during school time).
