The Aarwangen school has approximately 540 students, several school sites, a day school, as well as a committed team of employees.

To strengthen our management organization, we are looking for a head of education.

Your tasks

• Management and coordination of the education sector
• Management of the heads of specialized education services, the day school management, the education secretariat, and the patrol service
• Responsibility for issues related to the school route, including student transport
• Management of school development, organizational, and quality processes
• Responsibility for the budget, finances, and resource planning of the education sector
• Preparation of files and decision-making bases for the general management and the communal council
• Collaboration with cantonal authorities, specialized organizations, and other stakeholders
• Ensuring efficient structures and processes in the education sector

What you bring

• Pedagogical training and professional experience in the field of education
• Management experience or the willingness to undergo corresponding training
• Organizational skills as well as high social and communication competence
• Understanding of digitalization and ICT issues in the field of education
• Ability for strategic and networked thinking
