The Flachglas (Schweiz) AG has two production sites (Flachglas Thun AG and Flachglas Wikon AG) and currently employs around 200 employees. The core business consists of refining glass, such as insulating or safety glass. Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for students for a holiday job (approx. 8 weeks) at Flachglas Wikon AG: Analysis and optimization of downtime in insulating glass production. Students for a holiday job. For this, you will use your energy: Recording and documenting existing production processes, observing production lines and recording interruptions, talking to production employees and shift managers, systematic recording and categorization of downtime causes, analysis of frequencies, duration and effects of production interruptions, conducting evaluations and Pareto analyses, identifying the most important loss causes, developing improvement proposals to reduce downtime, estimating the benefits, effort and savings potential of the measures, presenting the results and recommendations to the management.
