About the position We are looking for a solution-oriented automation and maintenance engineer to support operations in a highly automated and regulated production environment. Your profile You have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in maintenance, automation or process engineering and have at least 3 years of practical experience in automation or in a demanding production environment. You are characterized by your pronounced analytical thinking, your ability to quickly solve complex technical problems and your experience in technical support. Additionally, you are familiar with GMP documentation standards and have already worked with controlled documentation. Your tasks Maintenance & Repair Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance as well as calibration of automated/semi-automated systems, robotics and laboratory equipment Process integrity & documentation Ensuring seamless GMP-compliant documentation of maintenance work and changes Creating and updating operating documentation (e.g. work instructions, maintenance procedures) Digitalization & optimization Driving digital maintenance initiatives and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Industry 4.0 development Contributing to smarter systems and predictive maintenance approaches Coordination & planning Managing spare parts and coordinating maintenance plans with production and external partners Troubleshooting (~30%) Providing first- and second-level support for production and automation systems Analyzing and resolving technical problems efficiently Maintaining seamless documentation of the entire lifecycle of the systems according to GMP standards Shift and standby service Working in a 2-shift system and occasionally taking on standby services (max. 3 weekends per year) Required qualifications University degree or technical training in the fields of automation, mechatronics, electronics, process engineering or similar fields At least 3 years of experience in automation or production environments Proven skills in troubleshooting automated systems Familiarity with GMP documentation and regulated industries Fluent German (required); English (B2+) is an advantage Willingness to work shifts and commute within a radius of 30-50 km around Rotkreuz Desirable skills PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley etc.) Experience with process control systems / Industry 4.0 integration Knowledge of pneumatics and electrical engineering Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) for maintenance planning
