The clinic for geriatric psychiatry is a SIWF recognized training center for psychiatry and psychotherapy and has full training authorization for the specialties of geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy (A2 inpatient and outpatient) and consultative and liaison psychiatry (A2). We are a successful training site of the BZ Pflege For our openly managed geriatric psychiatric ward in dual leadership with the senior physician, we are looking for a committed, professionally skilled and strong leadership personality to take over the nursing management as of 1 August 2026 or by arrangement. Department Head Nursing Geriatric Psychiatry (a) 80 100 Your tasks In this responsible role, together with the interprofessional team, you will design person-centered, appreciative and professional treatment of people with life experience in psychiatric crisis situations. • Professional, organizational and personnel management of the ward in dual leadership with the senior physician • Ensuring high-quality, person-centered care (primary nursing concept) • Leadership, promotion and further development of the ward team • Responsibility for the implementation of treatment concepts, nursing standards and quality specifications • Implementation and promotion of interprofessional cooperation • Initiation and accompaniment of development and change processes • Responsibility for resource and budget planning in the nursing area • Promotion of a structured, activating and safe ward milieu Your profile • Certified nursing specialist HF/FH • Several years of professional experience in psychiatry, ideally in geriatric psychiatry • Further training in leadership/management (e.g., ward management, leadership) is an advantage or willingness to do so • Experience in personnel management, team control and conflict management • Organizational skill, decision-making ability and communication strength • Empathic, reflective and appreciative attitude in dealing with people with life experience and their relatives • Ability to create a motivating, supportive working climate for an interprofessional team • Openness to innovations and further development of nursing practice • Sensitivity to ethical issues (avoidance of coercion) Information Further information will be gladly provided by Dr. Susan Fischer, Operational Manager Geriatric Psychiatry under Tel. 034 421 27 30.
