The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS develops internationally coordinated reference standards and passes them on with the required accuracy through calibrations to the Swiss economy, research and administration. To this end, it operates a high-level infrastructure for the calibration and conformity assessment of measuring instruments at an internationally recognized level.
The METAS staff restaurant «Cafeteria sur mesure» offers the approximately 240 employees versatile catering during breaks and at lunchtime. Great importance is placed on the freshness and high quality of the products used, which are sourced from regional suppliers whenever possible. Your new challenge

• Preparation of meals
• General cafeteria tasks such as serving at the cash register, replenishing goods,
• Providing food, washing up and cleaning work
• Deputy for the Head of Cafeteria. In the absence of the Head of Cafeteria, full assumption of the following tasks:
• Offer planning
• Carrying out shopping and managing the budget incl. cash reconciliation
• Ensuring the organization and smooth execution of special events such as break catering during training sessions, events, etc.
• Responsibility for compliance with food and hygiene regulations

Your profile

• Successfully completed training as a cook with a federal certificate of competency or many years of cooking experience in the gastronomy sector
• Culinary flair to advance the operation and the offer
• You are considered to be strong in communication, service-oriented, a team player, motivated and flexible
• Good German language skills
• Neat appearance
