Police Dispatch Center Manager (80-100%)
Dynamic and active across the entire territory of Sion and Sierre as well as its seven partner municipalities (Arbaz, Ayent, Chalais, Chippis, Grimisuat, Grône, St-Léonard), the Police Régionale des Villes du Centre (PRVC) ensures, within the framework of the competencies devolved to it, all missions and tasks related to the maintenance of order and public security.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a
Police Dispatch Center Manager (80-100%)
Your main missions
Ensure the management and smooth operational functioning of the police dispatch center;
Plan and control the activity of the personnel assigned to the center;
Supervise, train and evaluate the center's personnel;
Organize and coordinate the work of the center, notably during major events;
Ensure the quality of information exchanges between the center and the intervention personnel;
Develop and update procedures related to the center;
Manage the center's equipment and ensure monitoring of technological developments;
Propose adequate training related to the activity to the hierarchy;
Inform the hierarchy and submit to it any proposal likely to improve the functioning of the center.
Your profile
Holder of the federal police certificate, a specialization training in dispatch centers, or training deemed equivalent;
Proven experience as a dispatcher;
Skills in personnel management;
Good mastery of IT tools specific to the police and the center; Ease with administrative tasks and good writing skills;
Able to work according to irregular hours, notably at night and on weekends;
Assertive decision-making spirit and ability to demonstrate confidence, calm, discretion and discipline, including in stressful situations;
Proven social skills, allowing for the maintenance of quality relationships with various internal and external interlocutors;
Ability to identify and resolve problems, to manage conflict situations and to demonstrate the necessary authority to lead a group;
Knowledge of the perimeter and territory of the cities of Sion and Sierre as well as the partner municipalities served by the Police Régionale des Villes du Centre is an asset;
Of irreproachable reputation, clean criminal record and not being subject to prosecution.
Special conditions of engagement
An assessment by an external provider is planned before the confirmation of the engagement.
Function class: 12 (13 during the probationary year).
The function will be exercised on a trial basis for 12 months.
