The Universitäts-Kinderspital beider Basel (UKBB) is an independent, university competence center for pediatric and adolescent medicine as well as for teaching and research in Northwest Switzerland. Due to a retirement in the team, we are looking for a Deputy Head Dipl. Biomedical Analyst HF 100% for our accredited pediatric laboratory as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement. Start date: as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement Your tasks * Deputy technical and organizational management of the pediatric laboratory * Participation in the management, deployment planning, and development of the laboratory team * Technical guidance and induction of new employees * Ensuring efficient and smooth laboratory processes * Co-responsibility for quality management according to DIN EN ISO 15189 as well as its further and new development * Participation in the introduction and optimization of new analytical methods and laboratory processes * Ensuring compliance with quality, hygiene, safety, and occupational health standards Performance and validation of medical-technical laboratory analyses (hematology, coagulation, and special analytics) * Performance and monitoring of internal and external quality controls Your profile * Completed training as a dipl.
