The Département de médecine de premier recours (DMPR) has a societal mission to enable access to quality care for all through local medicine, to ensure the management of minor medical and surgical emergencies, to promote prevention among citizens, to provide medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and to promote the health of travelers.

Due to the versatility of its skills, the Centre universitaire romand de médecine légale (CURML) has the mission to respond to all requests for expertise or advisory assistance in the fields of medico-legal matters, medical law, and doping analysis. Located in the Lake Geneva region, its field of expertise extends at regional, national, and international levels.

The Unité de Médecine et Psychologie du Trafic (UMPT) of the CURML performs medical driving aptitude assessments, psychological driving aptitude assessments, and medico-psychological driving aptitude assessments. The UMPT has two level 4 physicians, specialists in SSML traffic medicine, and two psychologists specializing in FSP traffic psychology. The consultation offices are located in the cantons of Genève, Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, and Jura.

Internal Physician at the Traffic Medicine and Psychology Unit (UMPT) - 50%

Within the Unité de médecine et psychologie du trafic (UMPT), you will participate, under supervision, in driving aptitude assessments carried out at the various sites of the unit. To do this, you will collaborate closely with the psychologists of the UMPT as part of the evaluation of the situations entrusted to you and contribute to quality interdisciplinary care.

As part of your activities, you will also perform biological sampling intended for toxicological analyses and write expertise reports which are validated and co-signed by the physician responsible for the unit.

In order to develop your skills in this specialized field, you will participate in scientific seminars as well as undergraduate training in traffic medicine, taught in French and/or German.

Qualifications

You hold a medical degree or have training deemed equivalent by the Commission des professions médicales (MEBEKO).

Your excellent communication skills allow you to interact within a multidisciplinary team and with patients. You are autonomous, flexible, and demonstrate commitment.

Clinical experience within the Geneva hospital and/or outpatient network is desired.

For non-French speaking candidates, a C2 level of French in the written test is required.
