With around 110 employees, the Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde of the Stadt Zürich is the largest German-speaking specialist authority in the field of child and adult protection. It is an independent and autonomous authority, which is administratively assigned to the Sozialdepartement. The KESB of the Stadt Zürich is composed interdisciplinary of a presidency, two vice-presidencies, seven members and five substitute members, as well as the Zentralen Dienste. As of 1. June 2027, a position as an Authority Member, Specialist Area Health, Psychology or Pedagogy, will become available with us. For this interesting and demanding position, we are looking for an experienced personality with a tertiary degree in health, psychology or pedagogy, preferably with experience in a child and adult protection authority. Authority Member KESB ## 80-100 % Tasks • You lead proceedings, conduct investigations and hearings in child and adult protection and have supervision over the ongoing child and adult protection measures of your authority department. • You draft decisions in individual responsibility and prepare collective decisions. • You lead an authority department professionally and personally. • You participate in the further development of the KESB in organizational and conceptual matters. • You maintain and expand your network with specialist offices, institutions and partner organizations and contribute with your professional manner to a positive image of the KESB among the population. Profile • Tertiary degree in health, psychology or pedagogy, advantageously with additional training in the legal field, as well as several years of professional experience, ideally at a KESB. • Interest and motivation for interdisciplinary cooperation with specialists from the fields of law and social affairs. • Joy in leading an authority department consisting of a team of lawyers and an authority secretariat. • High empathy as well as no hesitation towards people in all situations in life. • Trustworthy, communicative, loyal and assertive.
