Your tasks • In your consultation hours, you care for your own patients and perform surgical interventions adapted to your level of advanced training under supervision. • You cover the spinal surgery service of the KSA and perform interventional pain therapy in the spinal area as well as the adjacent joints, starting under supervision depending on the level of training, then increasingly independently. • You perform specialist tasks independently with conservative and operative treatments and are involved in the training of assistant physicians. • Your scientific contributions at national and international congresses will be welcomed after induction. • You will learn the entire spectrum of spinal surgery, with the exception of intradural tumor surgery; the latter is planned through rotations in other clinics. Your profile • After completing training as a specialist in neurosurgery or orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system (mandatory with MEBEKO recognition), ideally with an additional title in Special Spinal Surgery and an SSIPM certificate of competence, you are interested in comprehensive spinal surgical training and activity. • You are a dynamic, resilient personality with the ambition to learn a complex area of orthopedics/neurosurgery, show above-average performance, and in addition to this, aim for the specialist title in spinal surgery planned by the professional societies. • You welcome interdisciplinary cooperation and actively help to shape it.
