Start of employment: 1. October 2026 or by arrangement Work location: Hindelbank JVA Hindelbank is the only correctional facility for women in German-speaking Switzerland. It serves the execution of sentences and measures with women in the closed and open sectors. 107 places are available. The admitted women live within the facility in residential groups and work in various work areas on weekdays. The time in JVA Hindelbank is intended to serve the admitted women in creating prerequisites for reintegration into society, in order to lead their lives without offending after release and responsibly. Your tasks Would you like to contribute to ensuring that admitted women feel well cared for health-wise? Then you fit perfectly into our team! As a nursing specialist in the health service, you will primarily take on night shifts as well as late shifts by arrangement. During the night, you are responsible for the management and preparation of medications and for night-specific routine work. You are available as the first point of contact for medical and psychiatric emergencies during the night and ensure smooth interdisciplinary cooperation with all internal interfaces. Together with eight other nursing specialists, you form our health service team. Your tasks include: • Medication management (preparation, provision, orders) • Ensuring medication administration (incl. opioid substitution) • Rapid, professional action in emergency situations • Close cooperation with doctors, specialist departments, security personnel, and reference persons • Careful and up-to-date maintenance of medical documentation • Treatment care, medical assessments, coordination of appointments and hospital admissions • Deployment in night and late shifts -- reliable and solution-oriented <br /> Your profile You bring with you: • Tertiary education in the health sector (PsyKP, AKP, DNII, HF, FH) • Professional experience as well as secure medical specialist competence • Enjoyment of independent work at night and of cooperating in a team • Calmness, decisiveness, and a clear head -- even in emergency situations • Ability to build professional closeness to the women while simultaneously maintaining the necessary distance • Interest, openness, and understanding for physically and mentally burdened women • Very good German skills; good French and English skills, other languages an advantage • Good knowledge of PC applications and databases <br /> We offer you <br /> • A demanding, versatile, and responsible activity in a multicultural, women-specific, and interdisciplinary environment • Internal and external further training, supervision, and regular case discussions • A committed team and a work environment with scope for design and variety <br /> Contact Information about the position is provided by Gaby Krayenbühl, Head of Health Service or Rebecca Scholl, Head of Measure and Special Execution, reachable at +41 31 636 37 11.
