Job Description

Are you characterized by a precise way of working, analytical thinking, and a high affinity for numbers? Have you already been able to gain sound experience in project controlling in the construction industry? Then apply to us and contribute to the strategic and operational management of Drees & Sommer in Switzerland with a dynamic team. This position can be filled in Basel or Zurich by or after agreement.

• Project controlling in close cooperation with project managers, project teams, and planners for budgeting & plausibility of project budgets.
• Final review, legally secure recording, and administrative processing of contractor and planner contracts in the construction administration tool.
• Continuous monitoring of project costs, conducting detailed target-actual comparisons, and early identification of budget deviations.
• Independent checking and approval of contractor invoices (progress payments, hourly rates, and final invoices) as well as monitoring of retentions.
• Recording, evaluation, and administrative management of variations/change orders as well as monitoring their impact on the overall result.
• Dunning process and invoice control.

Qualifications

• Commercial vocational training (KV) with strong construction awareness or construction technology vocational training (e.g., Drafter EFZ, craft) with commercial/construction economics further training.
• 8–10 years of sound and demonstrable professional experience in construction administration, construction controlling, or construction cost planning.
• Excellent knowledge of the Swiss Construction Cost Plan (BKP), SIA standards (especially SIA 118), as well as the entire procurement process.
• Structured, quality-oriented way of working paired with pragmatism and a hands-on mentality.
• Proficient use of common Swiss construction administration software (e.g., Messerli, Delta Project, BauPlus) as well as strong Excel skills.
• High affinity for numbers, structured and exact way of working, as well as the necessary assertiveness when dealing with internal business partners.
