Then you have come to the right place at the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF). On behalf of the Confederation, we finance around 2000 new research projects every year. How does a simple video game become a super doctor? How can truancy be prevented? How do video games support learning? Thanks to the financial support from the National Science Foundation, scientists can research such questions. In a competitive process, a jury of experts decides which projects are funded. In this way, the SNF contributes to research being at the world top. During your apprenticeship, you will get to know different areas of our organization, work with people from all over Switzerland and take on exciting tasks from the very beginning. This allows you to develop professionally and personally and create the best perspectives for your future. During the commercial training with us, you will regularly change teams and thus get to know different departments and expand your competencies. In this way, many doors will be open to you after the apprenticeship. We are offering two commercial apprenticeships as of 1 August 2027. What awaits you You will administratively accompany exciting research projects and gain insights into the world of research. You organize meetings, workshops and events and support their implementation. You assist in Human Resources and the finance department and get to know important commercial processes. You manage electronic mailboxes and communicate with various stakeholders in several languages. You work with modern digital tools and get to know today's networked working world. You regularly change departments and therefore receive diverse insights into different areas. You realize your own projects together with other apprentices and contribute your ideas. What you bring with you You have good to very good school grades at secondary school level or have successfully completed the 10th school year. You enjoy communicating with people and approach others openly. You work independently, reliably and take on responsibility. You organize your tasks carefully and maintain an overview. You are interested in digital technologies and new forms of work. You enjoy working in a team and value exchange with others. You have good knowledge of German as well as basic knowledge of French and English. What you can look forward to You will complete a varied three-year commercial apprenticeship in a private foundation with over 300 employees (commercial sector: federal administration). You will get to know different areas of our organization (from research and junior promotion to national and international research programs to finance and Human Resources). In the 4th semester, you will receive the opportunity for an exciting six-month external job rotation in the federal administration. You will work in a multilingual environment and can use and further develop your language skills in German, French and English daily. You will be rewarded for good performance - for example with a two-week language stay or a graduation bonus. You can participate in internal sports offers and look forward to various employee events.
