As an inspector, you ensure that this remains so: In collaboration with your team, you check with manufacturers, importers and distributors, whether traditional or online, that the products offered for sale in Switzerland comply with the requirements of the Federal Act on Product Safety (LSPro).* Start date: 1 December 2026 or at a date to be agreed Product Safety Engineer (m/f/x), 60 % Your tasks ## • You check products available in Switzerland in order to identify potential compliance and safety deficits, you contact the relevant economic operators and order, if necessary, corrective measures within the framework of an administrative procedure. • You design and implement random inspection programs, sometimes in collaboration with other market surveillance authorities. • You assist companies concerned by a product recall and ensure that consumers are informed of it. • You collaborate closely with the internal legal department Your profile ## • BSc in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or wood technology or equivalent training as well as a few years of professional experience, preferably in the field of product development, product testing or in a purchasing department • Desired knowledge in terms of product compliance • Team spirit and communication skills • Taste for advisory and negotiation activities • Comfortable with administrative tasks • Native French or German speaker with good knowledge of the other language as well as good command of English Interested? ## Do not hesitate to contact Mr. Peter Gyger, head of the Market Surveillance section: product safety, tel. 031 390 21 71 for any further information.
