Job Description In this exciting position, you are responsible for the realization of our HMI applications for customer projects and support commissioning - from the offer to the successful project completion at the customer site. The realization of customer applications for the visualization of packaging machines for new machines and modernizations is your responsibility. You also support our commissioning team in-house, as well as occasionally at our customers worldwide. You value a user-friendly HMI with a focus on usability & user experience. The maintenance and further development of our machine-specific application templates is an important part of your work to ensure a high quality of our visualization applications. You support our sales department in creating offers by evaluating customer specifications. Your experience in the field of high-level languages will help you to adapt the HMI programs to the needs of our customers and to develop tools for automated application creation. With your active participation in the continuous improvement of our work processes, you make an important contribution to being able to handle projects on time and in high quality. Internal knowledge transfer and the creation of documentation round off the activity profile. Qualifications You have a university degree in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, or related courses of study with a technical orientation. Alternatively, you have equivalent professional experience in the field of software development of visualization systems. Extensive experience in programming HMI / SCADA systems, e.g., Rockwell Factory-Talk, Copa-Data Zenon, or WinCC. You bring a flair for usability and user experience topics. You are familiar with control systems such as those from Rockwell or Beckhoff and common interfaces to HMI systems. You are very familiar with programming languages such as C#, .NET; additional experience with web programming and/or is an advantage. Knowledge in the area of configuration and administration of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, as well as in network technology and IT security. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database systems, data modeling as well as backup/restore, rights and security concepts. Practical experience in the field of industrial and web protocols such as REST, OPC-UA, and MQTT is helpful. You have a flair for automation solutions and special machine construction and enjoy working in a team, but are also accustomed to working independently and in a solution-oriented manner. Very good English skills and a professional appearance are important for international customer contacts and occasional travel to customers.
