Lead Network Services

You will assume technical and disciplinary leadership of a global network team and be responsible for the operation, security, and further development of the worldwide network infrastructure in an industrial company in railway technology.

Tasks

• Overall responsibility for the operation, governance, and further development of global network services (WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewalls)
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of a global network team and external service providers
• Ensuring highly available, secure network operations in a 24/7 environment
• Steering external service providers including SLA, KPI, contract, and cost management
• Responsibility for incident, problem, change, and service management processes according to ITIL
• Collaboration with cyber security, architecture, and infrastructure teams
• Co-designing the network strategy and implementing SD-WAN and cloud connectivity initiatives

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field of study
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and network operations
• Leadership experience of global or multi-regional teams as well as in partner management
• Sound knowledge of WAN/SD-WAN architectures, firewall and perimeter security services
• Technical understanding of network security, routing & switching, and cloud connectivity
• Knowledge of service management frameworks such as ITIL
• German and English
