Pedagogical Lead (Daycare Lead)

Help shape the world of our ‹Little Explorers› in Rapperswil from the very beginning!

Explorers Education AG is opening a bilingual Kita at Zürich Obersee in spring 2027.

We are creating a place where children from 3 months until starting kindergarten grow up according to the immersion principle as well as the approaches of Pikler, Lapurla and the orientation framework FBBE.

As Kita Lead, you are the centerpiece and bear the operational responsibility.

YOUR ROLE & TASKS

• Operational & Pedagogical Leadership:

You bear the overall operational responsibility of the Kita, anchor our quality standards (Lapurla, bilingual immersion, Pikler) and constantly develop the pedagogical concept further.

• Team Building & Development:

You recruit, lead and coach your team according to modern leadership principles and promote an open, appreciative feedback culture.

• Business Administration & Administration:

You are responsible for capacity planning, budgeting, administration as well as efficient occupancy management.

• Parental Work & External Representation:

You are the trusted first point of contact for parents and represent the Kita professionally towards authorities (Stadt Rapperswil-Jona, Kanton St. Gallen) and partners.

• Quality Management:

You ensure compliance with the kibesuisse guidelines, the St. Galler Kita-Kompass and all official requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Qualification:

Recognized training as a childhood educator (HF/FH) or equivalent qualification as well as completed leadership or management training in the social sector.

• Leadership Experience:

Sound experience in operational Kita management and administrative stability in the Swiss Kita system.

• Pedagogical Heart:

Enthusiasm for early childhood education, pioneering spirit as well as ideally experience with Lapurla, Pikler or bilingual concepts.

• Languages & Communication:

German at native level and very good English skills for our bilingual setting.

• Personality:

Strong communication, empathetic and solution-oriented leadership personality with high personal responsibility and organizational skills.
