Apprenticeship; Plant Operator EFZ Plant operators operate and monitor production and packaging systems in industrial companies. They fix breakdowns and malfunctions or carry out minor repairs on the machines. They plan production processes according to orders. Through expert setup and reconfiguration of the systems, they ensure the greatest possible utilization and productivity. They bear responsibility for the quality of serial production and ensure that the products comply with regulations and customer requirements. Plant operators often work in a team. In many places, the production lines and systems run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The professionals then look after their machines in shift operations.
